        Metrorail reacts to the burning of seven trains sets in Tshwane.

Pretoria:

The CEO of the South African Rail Commuter Corporation (SARCC), Lucky Montana will today address the media following the burning of seven Train Sets in Tshwane last night.

The Train burnings happened in Pretoria North yesterday after being set alight. It is alleged that the trains were set alight following an overhead power failure.

The CEO has condemned the incident labelling it an act of criminals and will use the briefing to outline the position of the organization on train burnings, which possibly might lead to the immediate closure of certain lines in Tshwane. Montana will also share more information on the extent of the damage on both infrastructure and rolling stock. The SARCC owns and operate Metrorail services throughout the country.
