- Public Transport for the "people".
- Long train sets (8coach trains) started to appear.
- Large volumes of passengers from "Home" to "Work".
- "Train Dynamics" became a science in the scheduling of trains.

- The visit by the British Royal Family boosted rail commuter transport.
- A special train was compiled to transport the royal family. This led to special attention being given to so-called "first class comfort”, which would become a standard for later train releases.
