The transit centre

The development recognises that Johannesburg Park Station is a tourist and traveller arrival and departure point and should thus be a safe, welcoming and informative environment.

The Transit Centre caters for long distance trains and luxury coaches used by thousands of people every day. The Centre features ticket desks for bus and coach operators and mainline trains, retail facilities, an information kiosk, ATMs, improved access and egress and a new parking deck for 450 cars.

Security is extensive, comprising closed-circuit television monitoring, a central control room and round-the-clock patrols.
